Jewelry
Today I got assigned to work at the front of the first floor. I was maintaining my section when one of the older employees (I think she was a visual) told me to go maintain the middle. I told her that I was assigned to work in this area and that someone else was already doing the middle. She was really insisting on me doing the middle (kind of rudely too). So I was like fine whatever...
Then Sunny comes and tells me I had to maintain the entire first floor!! I was like, "Are you serious?!" Then I was saved just in time when David (another assistant manager) asked Sunny for someone to help unpack the jewelry. I volunteered myself because unpacking stuff sounded so much easier than maintaining an entire floor.
I was given 6 boxes of jewelry and I had to unpack all of it and find a place for them in our jewelry section. Man, seriously what a waste of bags. Each earring was placed in an individual bag. And those individual packs were packed into groups in another bag. And all those groups were placed together in a final bag. It was like a bag within a bag within a bag. And I had to unravel all of it. I made a big mess by the way lol. I spent a lot of time working on the unpacking that I didn't bother maintaining my area (accessories and swimsuits). I figured that theres no point until around 10pm, when the foot traffic finally dies down. I fixed the shoes and stuff. Finally I got around to picking up all the jewelry off the floor and fixing the mismatched racks of jewelry. By the end of the night, I organized it to my satisfaction and I knew exactly where every piece of jewelry belongs haha. I love this section! I felt so stress and tired free today! I didn't even have to run when you work in this section. You just have to clean up. Woohoo! I spent all night working on the jewelry.
There was this big mirror in my section so naturally customers like to try on clothes there. There was a lady who came up to me and told me that a customer was trying on clothes in front of the mirror. Not sure why she snitched but later on I did. I told the customer to use the dressing room. 5 minutes later she was still trying on clothes. I gave her another warning. By her third warning I threatened to call security so she finally left. I pick up the massive mess of clothes she left behind and started folding her pants when the lady who snitched came back and told me the only reason she snitched was because the customer wasn't wearing panties...
I was looking at the pair of pants I picked up from the customer's mess and I realized if she really wasn't wearing panties then....EWWWW!!
Finally left around 2AM and took the train home with Alan, Sunny, and Viv. Got home around 3:30AM because the D didn't run and I suggested the N but nooooooooooooooo Alan was adamant on the F train to transfer to the D at West 4th. A few N's went by and no F's so we finally decided to take the N back home. Around 4AM Sunny and I got hungry and went to Chinatown's 69 to grab food lol. We talked for a while and got back a lil while ago. What a great midnight snack!
