Valentine's Day is not so overrated afterall

Usually the same people who dread Valentine's Day are the same people who dread being reminded that they have nothing to celebrate that day. And I must admit that I would usually dread it for the very same reason--but every year I get special reminders that it's not so overrated, commercialized, nor exlusive afterall. It's a really good feeling to still recieve cards & flowers in the mail from friends that remind you that they are thinking of you during this holiday. And I, of course, love to send out stupid cards and letters to express my affection towards them :)
I'm also a hopeless romantic. I think it's so cute to have a day dedicated to love and affection. It reminds me of those adorable girl and boy blushing moments like these:
Not to mention the many surprise confessions that are probably popping up around the world today and secret admirers and celebrations of love Haha. How could I possibly be cranky about a holiday that celebrates the most complex, publicized, and hard-to-explain emotion that humans are capable of?

This valentines day/CNY I got to celebrate it with my lovely syzters. We went and bought a lot of chinese food and had a huge cookout. At the moment I'm stuffed to the max. All in all it was a great bonding time and even if none of us had a boyfriend [in the area] we all had each other. What's not to love?
