Sweet Escape

Didn't get to do cashier today boo =[ I was sent to maintain zone 9 so I was trying to fold t-shirts on the table but people are such beasts!! I gave up after a while because there's no point, people have no regards to your hard work of folding *sniffs* lol jk.

I found a really cute tanktop among the many random clothes shrewn onto the t-shirt table. It said "LOVE" in big letters, followed by the definition of love and synonyms. It was laid out like a dictionary definition. It was super cute and I held onto it. Then suddenly a customer comes and sees it and asks me, "Is this a small?" and I said, "yes" and then she squealed and took it and scurried off. It happened so fast that I didn't have a chance to think of an excuse to not give it to her!

I spent the next hour or so trying to find it while I was maintaining but alas there were no more small sizes, only medium and large. Disappointed, I just continued working. (It's okay, I found it later & it was too big anyways)

But yea I was just running clothes and stuff and when I went downstairs to put some clothes away, I saw the insane mess the first floor was in. Clothes were ALL over the floor, people were crammed in the aisles, hastily flipping through clothes as fast as possible, and the doors were wide open-letting the hot sticky summer air in. I was SO glad I wasn't assigned to work down there.

Maybe I shouldn't have celebrated so prematurely, because the next thing I know, Sunny Lo (my other assistant manager) came over and told me the four little words that sent my day into a spiraling mess, "Maintain the first floor."

So relutantly I shuffled my way downstairs and cringed again as I saw the horrrible shape the first floor was in. I didn't even know where to start because there were piles of random clothes all over the floor and on the racks. There was no time to run it, maintaining the first floor was first priority. So we just dumped the random clothes on the table with the manequin or just randomly stuck them somewhere. Eitherway, we had to get it off the floor.

I spent a while organizing the dresses rack and it only took one minute for five or six customers buzzing around the same rack to destroy it just as fast. One girl was yanking the dress like it was a lasso caught onto something. She was seriously twisting and pulling that dress in the air but one of the straps was caught onto another hanger. I got irritated because I was already stressed out from the mad clean up, and it took a lot of willpower to ask her if she needed help nicely.

I found the tanktop from earlier today and I tried it on, and it didn't fit. Oh well!

After the store closed, I was folding the jeans and my hands turned blue-ish lol. Then Pheng (my manager) called for me to count money so I was doing that the rest of the night.

We got out around 1:30AM and me & Viv went to St.Marks for a BFF night out! We walked back and forth trying to decide on a bar to go to. I gave my lunch to a homeless woman and we went to this bar that was still on happy hour. Buy one get one free beer for $4. Me and Viv had a nice long talk as we sipped our beers. Then we went to continental and had 5 shots of SoCo Lime. After that, we had the munchies and got the $1 pizza yumm. We ate it on the steps of a church as we waited for Sunny & David to come pick us up.

After Sunny dropped everyone else off, we went to a supermarket because I just wanted to lol. We walked around for a while and I bought mozzarella cheese. Then we just sat outside talking for a while. I think we were sitting on some overturned newspaper holder. Then went back to 8th ave and went to the cool early opening bakery and got some laicha and dimsum. Ended up getting home around like 8-9am.
