Forever21 on the move

After work, went to our much awaited Forever21 @ 100Fun event. Since most of us were closing, we got out pretty late so we had about an hour of fun at 100fun. Got a room and sang some karaoke and I had a pina colada, some other drinks, and a bowl of *seafood* instant noodles. Damn, didn't know that was the default meat. I woulda gotten beef!

Too bad it closed so soon. Then got my super belated non-birthday card from Sunny :p

Wow what a short entry this was LOL.

Memory Lane

Went to Macy's before work because I wanted to return a dress I bought with my gift card and buy something else. My gift card expires tomorrow. Bought a pair of jeans and met up with jack at macy's. I saw an odd couple: like a 90 year old man with like a 40 yr old lady. Then I ran to Mcdonalds on the 7th floor of Macys and got myself a parfait and an apple juice and ran to work lol. Almost late!!

After work ended, I was going down the escalator and I realized I forgot my Macy's bag so I decided to run UP the down escalator and when I got near the top, I fell and banged my knee on the metal steps. It hurt like hell!!!!

Then Sunny and Alex came to pick the girls up. I was with Alex and David and I made them stop at Seven Eleven because I had a huge craving for instant noodles. I had to bribe them to stop by 711 by treating them to instant noodles lol -_-. Then we just hovered over the 711 counter and ate our noodles while David asked crazy questions like "would you rather..." haha.

Afterwards, asked sunny to show me his baby pictures so we went through his little mini album. Wow he was such a stud when he was a kid. what happened? lol jk!

Went through my album as well (so many embarassing pics that he tried to steal).

Oh, I never get tired of trips down memory lane :)

Happy birthday daddio!

Got a pleasant surprise from Sunny this morning! He brought me breakfast: Cha siew fan and a lai cha before he went to work. I was off today so I sat home happily munching on my breakfast lol. When I walked out my door to get my breakfast from him, my mom thought I was leaving the house and started screaming so many reminders to drink soup and do the laundry. It was pretty embarassing lol.

Really bad weather today so I decided to stay home. It was like torrential rain all over the city and jersey.

At night, my cousin bought a cake for my dad's birthday. We all ate it downstairs & took pictures. Afterwards, we went to Lucky Eight to eat dinner. There was a bottle of red wine at the table and the waiter was pouring it for us. He didn't pour me a glass so I thought it'd be funny to ask him to pour me one. He looked at me like I was definitely underaged and he seemed really ambivalent about what to do. I thought it was hilarious because he was this goofy looking waiter and he was scared to feed youngsters alcohol. I told him I'd show him ID and he nodded like it was a great idea. He looked at my ID and confessed he didn't know how to read it LOL. I pointed at my birthdate on the ID and told him I turned 21 this summer. He had some hesitation but he poured me some wine anyways haha.

My brother and I had a nice long talk about life since I was sitting next to him. Then we went home and I made bruschetta for Sunny. A thank you gift for my breakfast haha.

Yo hablo espanol

Did cashier todayyy! Well, I covered for the most part (upstairs & downstairs) and then I did real cashier later on lol. Jack and Emily Wong came to visit but I was doing cashier so I wasn't able to talk to them for long :(

I had a full-on spanish conversation with some angry lady who tried to return a shirt with the wrong receipt AND the receipt was expired for exchange. Cool.

Went to Mcdonalds for lunch/dinner & got a happy meal as always. They never have parfait anymore =[ They gave me some stupid pirates of a carribean toy.

Afterwards, counted the money and then maintained til 2am and then we got out. Took the train home and beasted on leftover chicken and made some dumplings.

Orphans

Bummed at home most of the day and was supposed to meet up Tsui for dinner in Chinatown around 8pm but it didn't go down like it was supposed to. And a stupid cement truck sprayed a little cement on my hands, face, and pants. It was starting out to be a bad evening.

I called Sunny since he was getting off work at 9pm so I walked up from Chinatown to 34st to meet up with him by the time he got off Forever21. It was like the longest walk ever. I stopped by Petco and contemplated adopting a hamster (as always) but I didn't get enticed by a single hamster so I decided to hold out for a special one. It was crazy hot out and the super long walk didn't make it feel any better. I had like a bubble tea and a stack of tissues from Quickly's to make my walk more enjoyable. Sip, Sip, wipe sweat, sip sip.

We met up, went to see Orphans. So creepy! I really got scared by it--so yes I recommend :)

Then I had a ambitious idea to walk back down to Chinatown for dinner. We tried stopping by St.Marks because I had some ramen craving but everything was already closed. Then we finally got to yummy noodles and ate there. Mmm...beasted.

Then got home superr late and passed out :)

Barbecue in the Rain

Was supposed to go to the beach today but it was raining all week so changed the plans to a barbecue at Kenny's house. Kelvin, Viv, & I went to pathmark to get barbecue materials.

Well, it was more like using our asian senses and sniffing out the cheapest deals for everything possible.

It was a pretty wild goose hunt for cheap stuff. We looked through all the unit prices and quantities. It was not a question about quality lol. We almost gave up hope on the buns and put the $1.19 SunBuns in the cart but then Kelvin ran over with bags of 99cent buns in his hands. We got super good deals with Kelvins Pathmark card (discount of 20+ dollars) I think the best deal was like 8 dollars knocked off the beef patties.

Anyways, enough of our cheapness. We went to Kenny's where Joe, Calvin, & Solomon arrived shortly after. Jack and Kenny's girlfriend, Judy were there as well. Me & Viv cooked on the grill (where are the men for this job?!) and the guys just sat around the backyard and talked.

There was a cat on the next yard over that Joe was afraid of. He told us about some crazy black cat that mauled some lady.

Then it looked like it was about to rain when we put the chicken wings on the grill. We set up the umbrella that Kenny's dad gave us, and the rest of the people took the food and stuff inside. So Viv, Kelvin, and I squeezed under the big umbrella as we cooked the chicken. It started pouring insanely and we realized the umbrella wasn't waterproof?! The raindrops went right through. So we closed the grill and abandoned our poor chicken and ran inside. The rain was so torrential. It looked almost painful to be in lol.

We all played rockband safely inside Kenny's basement. Suddenly a flood of water came up through the basement drain and all over the floor. The entire basement floor was covered in water. Kelvin's socks got wet lol. Kenny's dad came down and handed everyone some mops and towels and we all started trying to soak up the mess. (By we, I mean everyone except Viv & I LOL)

After we were done, we toasted to a good job by taking shots of 151. (again, by we, I mean everyone except Viv & I) I took a shot with Jack later on though. Viv & I went back outside to check on the chicken we left behind. It was cold and half uncooked so we reheated it and then ate it later.

Chilled a bit longer and it was getting stuffy so me & Viv decided to leave a little earlier. Kelvin drove us home.

Time passes by fast when you're having Fun

my car...i wish

Called off work today to go to the beach because Sunday was going to be raining so today was my last chance of the week to go! Sunny, David, Joanna, and Alex were helping Sunny clean out his apartment because he was moving back home.

Alex and Sunny drove and we were supposed to go to Jones beach but ended up at Manhattan beach because it was getting later so we just went to the closest one.

ours was bigger! moohaha

It took a while so we got to the beach a bit later. The sun was already gone but we were building sand castles, which turned into a competition between Sunny and Joanna lol. I took a bunch of pictures and a video that I lost :'( But it was hilarious. Sunny won with MY help of course :D and then we got home to shower.

my 24oz tbone! i beasted it all =]

Got picked back up again to go to Halu to visit Joe at work. The dinner was a LOT of food. I got a 24oz T-bone meal moohaha. There was a king crab and some appetizers in addition.

Sunkist, Fugdog, MickeyD

After that, we went bowling and we split into teams. Fug Dog(david) & Joanna and Sunkist(sunny) & me. MickeyD (Ronald) was his own team lol. Me and sunny won the first game but David & Joanna won the second game. So we were tied. Then sunny and david tried to see their strengths at a punching arcade game. David got 900+ score and Sunny got a little lower =X It's okay!

Then we all headed back home and me and sunny figured out a place to get laicha 24/7! Computer cafe's! Got one and walked around 8th ave (where the wind takes us haha) and then went back to the car where it was nice and cool. where sunny fell ASLEEEEEEEP for mad long >=[ and he tried to put money in my bag but I was more slick.

Evil, Evil Monkeys

Got assigned to run today from the 2nd floor fitting room. I got maddd lazy so me, Alan, and Vincent ran a tiny little rack together lol =X and I took my sweet time. But we eventually finished and went back. The visuals yelled at me for trying to work in a group of 3 and made me run Heritage for a while. Then Kelvin told me to go work on the front of the first floor. I dreaded it because the AC was broken and it was a Friday. So as expected, it was hot and crowded. I managed Twelve by Twelve but i soon got really frustrated because there was just too many people and no matter how fast i tried to maintain, they messed it up in seconds. So i took my 10 minute break to just relax and breathe before I exploded. I got into the habit of yelling at customers in my head. I just can't believe how disrespectful some people are to our merchandise.

Anyways then David put me as a substitute cashier so I was like THANK GOODNESS! I had to cover three cashiers so that's almost two hours of non-maintaining. After doing cashier, it was already pretty late so there was a lot less customers. I started hardcore maintaining and it kind of annoyed me that customers came in like right at closing and came to shop in my area. I just wanted them to leave so my work wouldn't be futile! I know it's my JOB to clean but oh my goodness. If you had to clean all day and people constantly mess it up, it starts to get on your nerves. You start wondering if you were like that as a customer before working in retail. I hope I wasn't as monstrous.

After that, Wilson & Sunny picked us up and we all got kidnapped to go to 100fun. It was almost closing but we had fun anyways. Drank a flaming Dr.Pepper and sang some karaoke. Stole a bin of chips but Sunny wasn't good at being discreet and got caught lol. Then went home :)

The Usual

Did cashier again today! Full cashier =] Didn't lose any money this time! Nothing really happened today that I can remember, Wilson, Lucy & Sunny picked us all up from work and went home. I got 53rd st Halal food, thanks!

One of those Dreams You Don't Forget

I sat home watching Scrubs all day. I wasn't really in the mood to do anything but rot at home. I don't do this enough and my mom misses me so I should really make some time for family. But it's not like we ever do anything together when I'm actually home on rare occassions.

I had a dream this morning that I was in a car with some friends and suddenly a car comes up besides us and starts trying to shoot me. I was in the front passenger seat so I was trying to lay low and after a couple of gunshots, they finally got me. They shot me in the knee. It was weird because it felt numb and kinda hurt but it was a dream so it was a weird sensation. Then I thought my friends would race me to the hospital but they brought me to a regular family doctor so I had to wait on line for the doctor to see me. I kept exclaiming, "I GOT SHOT ON MY KNEE!", trying to tell everyone that being shot is actually something serious. However, no one regarded it as anything more a cold or a sore back. Finally I got to see the doctor and he was Andy (my manager at Forever21). He said that I didn't have insurance at the time (which is true) and that it'd cost $20 an hour to get medical attention. I was frustrated and I kept telling him I JUST GOT SHOT IN MY KNEE STFU! And I thought about surgery and stuff because the bullet was still lodged in my knee and how many hours that would be. Including therapy and all that stuff. That came out to a lot of money so I didn't know what to do.

Then I woke up. So glad that I did. Really.

Later at night, went on a hunt with Sunny to find a 24/hour pharmacy so I could buy some shampoo cause I ran out. Got some 85 cent canned lai cha at the wonderful 56st grocery store and then went to riteaid. Walked around for a while & then went back home. Got a late birthday present from Sunny, thanks :)

Fear the Unknown

Did cashier today woohoo! It was drizzling all day and it was pretty cold so we didn't have as much customers as usual. This made it alot easier to clean up and maintain. It's weird because sometimes theres no customers on-line to pay and sometimes theres long lines. It's like everyone subconsciously wants to buy their clothes at the same time lol. Anyways I was being really careful about handing out and taking in money because I was scared of being short on cash. I was really disappointed when I was down some money but it was okay.

Afterwards, took the train home with Viv & I caught the bus so hooray! Was talking to Sunny when I got home and then I walked over to his creepy neighborhood cause he made instant noodles. He started telling me all these scary stories that got me really spooked. When we were walking around, the smallest things made me really JUMP. Like a cat..or a foggy car...that one window that never turns off its lights...and any random people walking by =X

I'm seriously getting paranoid.

Chillaxing

I got woken up by my mom at 8am this morning. She sat on the edge of my bed, held my hand, and was stroking my hair back. Kind of like when I was a little kid. She told me she hasn't seen me around in a long time and that she misses me. It was a weird, yet satisfying moment. My mom doesn't do this kind of thing often. So when she does, I know she cares. Aww :D

I was supposed to hang out with Viv & Solomon today and they woke me up at 1pm, which is WAY too early. Anyways, we decided to go to Calvin's and he said it was fine. But then a little later on, he called and said no. Without a place, we decided on Kelvin's house but then Solomon didn't wanna go so far so we asked Joe to come with us instead.

Meanwhile my internets being difficult and I got kicked offline for a while. I unplugged half the phones in my house and then I was finally able to get back on.

After all that confusion, I headed over to Kelvins. But I missed my bus and decided to go get a laicha at a bakery. I forgot to get cash so I ran to the bank and then went back to the bakery. I told the lady I forgot cash before and one of the customers was like, "I would've treated you, lang lui" I gave an awkward chuckle and left. Then I sat waiting for the bus underneath the glass bus stop structure. I felt like an ant burning under the hot sun through the glass.

Finally the bus came and I sat next to a smelly asian guy who was counting a big wad of cash. He got up and I thought he was getting out so I moved to another seat. Turns out he was just putting hte money in his back pocket and he gave me a weird look when I changed seats. Oh well.

Then I got to Kelvins and Joe came shortly after. We watched the movie Bride Wars but Kelvin fell asleep because it was a chick flick. Joe started to like it after a while haha. Then we played taboo and we all sucked at it really badly but it was hilarious.

AFter that we watched a show called Top Hollywood Murders or something and went to White Castle for dinner. I got a Strawberry banana slushie at Hess because I had a fruit smoothie craving today.

Then we went back to Kelvins, watched the last half of Cruel Intentions, plucked Joe's eyebrows, and finally went home.

Short & Sweet

Stayed home today and cleaned up somewhat. Felt good to not have to work today woohoo! I started watching the show Scrubs since I've heard such good things about it. It's entertaining so far but watching it online is such a drag with all the insane pop-ups and stuff. Not to mention, Megavideo.com only allows me to watch 72 minutes of video at a time so I get cut off =[

Went out to eat pho with Tsui because we had a lot of talking & catching up to do. It was really nice talking to her, I love that girl!

Came home, took a nap and watched more scrubs. Now it's 5am and I think it's time for bed :)

Sweet Escape

Didn't get to do cashier today boo =[ I was sent to maintain zone 9 so I was trying to fold t-shirts on the table but people are such beasts!! I gave up after a while because there's no point, people have no regards to your hard work of folding *sniffs* lol jk.

I found a really cute tanktop among the many random clothes shrewn onto the t-shirt table. It said "LOVE" in big letters, followed by the definition of love and synonyms. It was laid out like a dictionary definition. It was super cute and I held onto it. Then suddenly a customer comes and sees it and asks me, "Is this a small?" and I said, "yes" and then she squealed and took it and scurried off. It happened so fast that I didn't have a chance to think of an excuse to not give it to her!

I spent the next hour or so trying to find it while I was maintaining but alas there were no more small sizes, only medium and large. Disappointed, I just continued working. (It's okay, I found it later & it was too big anyways)

But yea I was just running clothes and stuff and when I went downstairs to put some clothes away, I saw the insane mess the first floor was in. Clothes were ALL over the floor, people were crammed in the aisles, hastily flipping through clothes as fast as possible, and the doors were wide open-letting the hot sticky summer air in. I was SO glad I wasn't assigned to work down there.

Maybe I shouldn't have celebrated so prematurely, because the next thing I know, Sunny Lo (my other assistant manager) came over and told me the four little words that sent my day into a spiraling mess, "Maintain the first floor."

So relutantly I shuffled my way downstairs and cringed again as I saw the horrrible shape the first floor was in. I didn't even know where to start because there were piles of random clothes all over the floor and on the racks. There was no time to run it, maintaining the first floor was first priority. So we just dumped the random clothes on the table with the manequin or just randomly stuck them somewhere. Eitherway, we had to get it off the floor.

I spent a while organizing the dresses rack and it only took one minute for five or six customers buzzing around the same rack to destroy it just as fast. One girl was yanking the dress like it was a lasso caught onto something. She was seriously twisting and pulling that dress in the air but one of the straps was caught onto another hanger. I got irritated because I was already stressed out from the mad clean up, and it took a lot of willpower to ask her if she needed help nicely.

I found the tanktop from earlier today and I tried it on, and it didn't fit. Oh well!

After the store closed, I was folding the jeans and my hands turned blue-ish lol. Then Pheng (my manager) called for me to count money so I was doing that the rest of the night.

We got out around 1:30AM and me & Viv went to St.Marks for a BFF night out! We walked back and forth trying to decide on a bar to go to. I gave my lunch to a homeless woman and we went to this bar that was still on happy hour. Buy one get one free beer for $4. Me and Viv had a nice long talk as we sipped our beers. Then we went to continental and had 5 shots of SoCo Lime. After that, we had the munchies and got the $1 pizza yumm. We ate it on the steps of a church as we waited for Sunny & David to come pick us up.

After Sunny dropped everyone else off, we went to a supermarket because I just wanted to lol. We walked around for a while and I bought mozzarella cheese. Then we just sat outside talking for a while. I think we were sitting on some overturned newspaper holder. Then went back to 8th ave and went to the cool early opening bakery and got some laicha and dimsum. Ended up getting home around like 8-9am.

Cha-Ching!

I was a real cashier today!! Not a cover-other-cashier's-breaks kind of cashier, but a real, bonafide, all-day-long cashier!

Just thought I'd share the happy news :)

But seriously I was soo nerve-wrecked the entire time. I was so cautious because I was handling a lot of money (a lot to me anyways) and I was afraid I'd make a mistake or be short on money or something. I seriously need some rubber tips because I've got no grip so I can't count cash right :(

Anyways the day flew by really fast as a cashier. Mad people carry 100's around like it's toilet paper, oh man. I had to pee at some point but I couldn't leave the cash register until the line died. Which it didn't until 9pm. At that point my bladder was like near explosion status. I had like the longest piss ever after that.

Then I went on my break & talked to Tsui on the phone as I ate at McDonalds. I got not one, but TWO parfaits because it's a rare occassion that they have it so late at night. When I walked out of McDonalds it was raining and I was like OH CRAP! I didn't have an umbrella and I had to make it back before I was late so I ran like a crazy lady.

Maintained on the 3rd floor for the rest of the day. The AC broke and it was like a bajillion degrees outside and add on the humidity and everyone felt like they were just covered in like a sticky film or something. Mad nasty feeling.

Around 1:30AM, we all clocked out because we were working more hours than Forever21 is gaining money. The store was in a HUGE mess. This never happens because we only leave when everything is perfectly clean. When we left, it was as if we just let a whole day run by without a single maintenance. I feel bad for the people opening. (cough, sunny!)

After work, Viv, David, Sunny, Sharry, Alex, and I went to 100fun because Kelvin was having a mini-belated-birthday celebration there. We got a booth out in the lounge area and we just talked and ate and sang and had a great time. We also played some dice and funny card games. It was hilariousss. Then we all went home and I got to drive Sunny's car down my block, yes! Victory is mineeeeee =]

The Rainbow After the Rain

Gave up on trying to recall my past week...I'll just work backwards lol.

Today I had to close again. Was assigned to do accessories again. All the rearranging of clothes and stuff is seriously getting annoying! Now the lingerie is in the accessories section. The bathing suits are moved downstairs. The leggings are beyond lost. Today a few people asked me where the bathing suits were at and I thought they were sold out but turns out they were moved downstairs. So when I told customers that it was downstairs, they scoffed and said that they were directed upstairs (by employees who still thought it was still in accessories). It gets mad confusing and customers are getting pissed!

Anyways, I decided to leave the jewelry organization to the very end because I know no matter how much I try, people are just going to mess it up again. Working in retail, I now know the pain of being on the other side. I think when people shop, they don't realize how much of a mess they actually make (including me before I worked here). They'd just dump unwanted clothes in a random spot and then we run like headless chickens trying to locate these abandoned bodywears. Forever21 doesn't make it any easier by shifting clothes around constantly =[

I was sad that I left my parfait in the fridge on Tuesday but apparently the janitor didn't throw it out! Woohoo, ate it during my 10min break :D

His given name is Jumps. What a creative name -_-

Anyways had lunch with Jonathan Lopez (JLo) at Mcdonalds. They didn't have the parfait again =[ so sadly my other option was a happy meal. They had like 30 TY beenie babies but I got the frog one for Viv <3!

Bittersweet

my meal :9

Today was Kelvin's birthday celebration. Somehow wasted a good part of my day sleeping and watching How I Met Your Mother. Then Kelvin drove me to the dinner place. It was called May's Sushi Place at St.Marks. We waited outside for the excessively late people lol. Then we went inside and the menu looked really good. I had meal that included Katsu Don with Udon soup, a beer, and a side salad. All for under 10 bucks :)

Food was more filling than I thought lol. Even Vivian couldn't finish beasting her food! After that, we went around St.Marks for drinks/barhopping.

cheers! keylime pie drinkkk

We got rejected from Continental for apparently not being in the right dress code. Which was such a lie because when I went for my birthday last week, we all got in. We finally found a bar called Bar on A. The bartender, Josh, was really nice. He gave me and Viv a special for our jolly ranchers. And he gave us 5 free shots of keylime pie. Kelvin drank it for the midnight-turned-birthday celebration.

Then bumped into some of Kelvin's other friends and they were suggesting a bunch of places to go. We walked around aimlessly for a while. Me & Frank got some icecream lol. Finally went to this bar....don't know what it's called but it smelled like a toilet. Vivian somehow got him some free drinks too. It was whiskey and something else. I think he got drunk off that and started playing pool.

@ Kenkas. LOL solomon sniffing a snow pea?

Me & Viv and Frank left to join Solomon, Brian, & Vajoejoe at Kenka's. It was really fun there. They had 2 pitchers of beer and a $50 Sake. We knew kelvin was too drunk to drink any of it so we all chugged everything. The table next to us gave us their pitcher too. Kelvin stumbled in drunk later on haha. This place gives u sugar to make cotton candy on ur way out! When we left, Kelvin barfed all over the streets and onto mines & Vajoejoe's feet. We both ran back into the restaurant and washed our feet off.

Solomon on the car floor next to my legs lol

We had 7 people in vajoejoe's car lol. Five in the back. Solomon was on the floor HAHA. Stopped by my house so Solomon and Viv could use my bathroom. LOL in the dark, solomon fell down the last few steps and face planted on my floor. Me & Viv couldn't help but "rofl" like crazy. What a night!!

We're Gonna Party Like it's Your Birthday

Yay I'm 21! Finally! The very last age that comes with new privileges. Every birthday after this will be dreaded because it's only another reminder that we are getting dangerously older LOL.

Kelvin drove me & Viv to meet up with everyone at 8pm at Buffalo Wild Wings at Atlantic Mall. Melvin got there at 7pm LOL! Unfortunately, there was a long line since it was Tuesday 40cent Wing special at BWW. We ended up waiting around 2 hours to eat =[ Sorry everyone! Tsui and Vivian C. had to leave early so they didn't get to eat with us *tears*

everyone, missing solomon, tsui, and Viv C. <3

We finally got in after a lot of hassling and everyone ordered mad wings. Dillion and Andy Tam did the blazin' wings challenge. 12 blazin' wings in 6 minutes lol. Andy did it mad fast and Dillion finished just in time lol. Too bad they were out of T-shirts!

my plate

I only ate like half my wings because I still had a loss of appetite (why am i sick again?!) And Viv & I tried a blazin' wing and it hurt so bad!! SO SPICY OMG!

the cake

Then they brought out the cake <3 It was really sweet because apparently Viv, Solomon, Frank, and Calvin snuck out to buy it while we were waiting to get into BWW. They were standing outside trying to write, "Happy Birthday Rena Wu" on the cake lol. Nice handwriting guys :)

cake in my eye!

THEN I GOT CAKED! Evil Jason and Vivian schemes >=[ LOL got cake in my eye but Viv helped me clean off my face. Ate some cake and then took some pics & called it a day. Too bad my camera died prematurely =[ Didn't take as many pics as I had wanted.

Kelvin drove a bunch of people home and then we decided to go on another Pathmark run. We walked around Pathmark for madddddddd long. I think we went through every aisle at least three times lol. We were just having a good late night talk. Then we walked around 8th avenue for a long time talking too. It was a really nice end to my night. I ended up with some snacks and a loofah lol. Random, I know.

Blame it on the Goose

Met up with Calvin and Solomon to go see Transformers at Union Sq. (sorry I was late!) The movie was alright, not as great as I had hoped it to be. Megan Fox didn't seem to have a real acting role in the movie, I think she was just there to look good and bring in more audience; that sucked because I wanted to see her acting skills! Then we decided to get Halal at 53rd street but it was a far walk so I called up Jason to see if he and his friends JLo and Kel wanted to join. Calvin, Solomon, and I just walked up the right direction til Jason caught up with us. We stopped by a Petco and some random stores on the way. Finally Jason caught up with us and Jlo was in the trunk but we all made it to Halal. Sat there and ate on a random bench until it was almost time to meet up people for my birthday-at-midnight barhopping.

Drinking Buddies!

Jason drove us back down to St.Marks and dropped us off because he wasn't 21 yet! Sunny, David, Sharry showed up and we all went to Continental for the 5 shots for $10 deal. Got some random cranberry tasting shots and waited for the rest of the people to show up. Finally Viv, Kelvin, and Frank came :) We ordered another round of 5 shots and I had two haha.

Watermelon Soju & Midori

Then we went to another bar and had Watermelon Soju. Since there were 9 of us, we all shuffled into the seats of a restaurant in the back. We found out they weren't affiliated with the bar but they let us sit anyways if we agreed to give them service in the future LOL! Viv asked the bartender for a free shot for me since it was my birthday and I got a midori. Yum!

Then we went to another place and got a grey goose from this ladyy but I had to payy =[

Finally went to this bar and the bartender dude gave me a free Sex by the Pool drink. It was blue and it tasted great. Thanks V! <3

@100fun

St.Marks isn't open and busy during a Monday night so we decided to go to 100 fun. Called Jason to join us because 100fun allows the underaged moohaha. Drank some Hennesy and greentea mix in a pitcher. And some yager bombs. I was still feeling the sickness so I barfed in the bathroom even though I wasn't drunk yet haha. I felt bad because there was a girl cleaning in there and I kinda got some barf on the floor LOL. She was really nice though and got me a cup of hot tea. Sunny got me a jolly rancher at the end and it tasted good but then I had to barf again so Viv finsihed it off for me.

Lol it was a fun night of karaoking. I must've heard birthday sex a bajillion times!

Save Me, Ryan

the clouds looked really gorgeous that day

Felt crappy from the night before but went to Jen's house with Viv to discuss plans for our summer trip. Didn't exactly end up doing that though...

We sat in Jen's room for a little bit to chill in the AC. Her room was super cute! Jimmy, Jon, and Dara arrived later on from hand ball. We talked a little about what to do in Ohio and then Viv got hungry. The rest of us either ate or wasn't hungry so I went with her to get food. She got really yummy pizza and a sushi roll. She beasted a slice on the way back :) I would too, it smelled delicious! Then we all ended up downstairs watching the OC until late lol. Ryan, from the OC, was maddd manly *drools* Save me, baby! :D

Then I was told that I didn't have to work monday after all, but I still had to go home at 10PM cause I had borrowed my aunt's metrocard and she's mad anal about getting her stuff back when I promised. So i had to leave anyways :( So early!

Screw Fireworks

we used to own BP! had a bad streak tonight

Got out at midnight after closing because it was July 4th =] Kelly from work drove me and Viv to Kenny Ma's house. Saw the fireworks on the way lol. We kinda got lost because her GPS was kind of wacky so it took us to Staten Island LOL =X

BFFS <3

We finally made it and Allen Ma and his cousin..Allen Ma (weird same names) owned the beer pong game. Jimmy and Viv played first and they both lost so they both had to funnel lol. Me and Viv played next and we lost and we both took yager bombs. Then me and Dara teamed up and I thought we'd be undefeatable cause we usually are really good at beer pong. but we lost somehow! We kept playing to try to win back our title but sadly I think i was just too out of it that day. Took some shots and me and Viv took a drunken walk around the block lol. I think we were holding hands and skipping and laughing about random things. We did that twice, I believe. It was a really fun night and then I got driven home.

Where in the World is Lai Cha?!

I'm not exactly sure what I did Friday but I know I had work (and it was probably very boring). After work, Sunny, David, and Alex drove to pick Sharry and me up to chill. We went to eat at Wohop and there were mad mosquitoes around *shivers* Me and David shared a Sup Chow Gnow Haw (the wet beef chow fun thing) and then I mentioned I wanted Lai Cha (Milk tea) so we went to St.marks to see if anything was open and nothing was. Then we went to CT and nothing was open. So we ended up in brooklyn at a mcdonalds drive thru and there was no iced coffee. so i think the guys got some nasty sweet tea and called it a day lol. that's all i remember from friday! =X

Umbrella ella eh eh eh

okay so, i need to remember about 2 week's worth of life events for my "daily" blog. oh man, here we go!

No work today! Zendrix was back from Ohio for the week (for July 4th) so since this was my only day off, I spent it with him. I met up with him at 34st and we walked around Manhattan mall for a bit. Sniffed a bunch of perfumes at Victoria Secrets but i still like mines the best. Why is perfume so expensive?! Damn =[

Then went to grab something to eat quickly so we went to McDonalds. After that we went to see the movie "The Proposal" with Sandra Bullock. It was a cute movie :) I was holding off seeing Transformers with Solomon so we couldn't watch that. When we got out of the movie, it was pouring outside. I rumbled through my bag to look for my umbrella but I couldn't find it! I was annoyed that I had lost it today, and especially during a time when I really needed it. I traced my footsteps and figured I had left it in Mcdonalds earlier.

We decided to make a run for it, through the heavy rain. He gave me his dress shirt and I held it over my head like some sort of cape haha. We ran to Mcdonalds with a teeny tiny spark of hope that perhaps it was still there. Sadly, it was gone. I had written my full name on the umbrella too (don't ask). So whoever has it will see Rena Wu on the handle haha.

Then we ran across the street to Kmart. Most of the nice umbrellas were already sold. I was torn between a super cute&sturdy but bigger umbrella vs. a super tiny&compact but more fragile umbrella. I ended up with the teeny tiny one. Convenience over quality haha.

When I went on line to pay for my umbrella, the cashier looked pissed off at the customer in front of me because they were super indecisive about what they wanted. They ended up deciding to buy nothing they had already given to the cashier to scan. When it was my turn, the cashier gave me an exasperated look, as if she was thinking, "today's going to be a LONG day". I smiled back in agreement. It was as if our wordless agreement had struck a relief-cord in her mind because then she decided to type in a different price for my umbrella and I only had to pay half. Cool beans. Sometimes people just want some sort of acknowledgement for their services. I told her I also did retail and I know how tiring it gets. She laughed and we said goodbye.

When we got outside, it was as if the sun decided to show it's face once again. It didn't rain for the rest of the day/night. We walked to St.Marks. On the way, I called my mom and got absorbed into our conversation. I wasn't looking where I was going so when we crossed the street, I didn't notice we had reached the curb and I tripped, lost my flip flop, and fell fowards. It was like time stopped as I flailed my arms in a rotating manner to somehow balance myself and prevent a deadly face plant. Zendrix heard my random noises of despair and came to my rescue and grabbed my arms seconds before I hit the ground. Then I retrieved my flipflops and added that moment to the clumsy rena archives, haha.

We kind of got lost on the way to St.Marks from Union sq. I don't know why, I've made that trek numerous times. I'm just a hopeless navigator. After many many many circles, we finally made our way to St.Marks. I wanted to go to this Japanese Ramen place I went to with Jason called Menkui-Tei. We walked around looking for it and I gave up and decided to call Jason and ask where it was.

We couldn't decide on just ONE thing to eat so we decided to split two dishes. We got the Katsu Curry and a Ramen dish. I ate exactly half of the rice dish and he tried to eat half of the ramen. Then we swapped and finished the rest. What a great idea. We get the best of both worlds; why have one when you can have two?

After that, we went to Red Mango for some dessert. Yum. I love that stuff.

Then, we walked around St.Marks for a while. Ended up at Starbucks because I had to pee. Zendrix left and I met up with Jason.

Jason wanted to eat so I sat with him as he ate Katsu Curry too, at a different place. Then we went to Washington Square Park and sat in front of the static fountain. Too bad, it would've been so pretty if it was turned on. We just talked for a while, watched some How I Met Your Mother on his Itouch. Then went home.

Jewelry

Today I got assigned to work at the front of the first floor. I was maintaining my section when one of the older employees (I think she was a visual) told me to go maintain the middle. I told her that I was assigned to work in this area and that someone else was already doing the middle. She was really insisting on me doing the middle (kind of rudely too). So I was like fine whatever...

Then Sunny comes and tells me I had to maintain the entire first floor!! I was like, "Are you serious?!" Then I was saved just in time when David (another assistant manager) asked Sunny for someone to help unpack the jewelry. I volunteered myself because unpacking stuff sounded so much easier than maintaining an entire floor.

I was given 6 boxes of jewelry and I had to unpack all of it and find a place for them in our jewelry section. Man, seriously what a waste of bags. Each earring was placed in an individual bag. And those individual packs were packed into groups in another bag. And all those groups were placed together in a final bag. It was like a bag within a bag within a bag. And I had to unravel all of it. I made a big mess by the way lol. I spent a lot of time working on the unpacking that I didn't bother maintaining my area (accessories and swimsuits). I figured that theres no point until around 10pm, when the foot traffic finally dies down. I fixed the shoes and stuff. Finally I got around to picking up all the jewelry off the floor and fixing the mismatched racks of jewelry. By the end of the night, I organized it to my satisfaction and I knew exactly where every piece of jewelry belongs haha. I love this section! I felt so stress and tired free today! I didn't even have to run when you work in this section. You just have to clean up. Woohoo! I spent all night working on the jewelry.

There was this big mirror in my section so naturally customers like to try on clothes there. There was a lady who came up to me and told me that a customer was trying on clothes in front of the mirror. Not sure why she snitched but later on I did. I told the customer to use the dressing room. 5 minutes later she was still trying on clothes. I gave her another warning. By her third warning I threatened to call security so she finally left. I pick up the massive mess of clothes she left behind and started folding her pants when the lady who snitched came back and told me the only reason she snitched was because the customer wasn't wearing panties...

I was looking at the pair of pants I picked up from the customer's mess and I realized if she really wasn't wearing panties then....EWWWW!!

Finally left around 2AM and took the train home with Alan, Sunny, and Viv. Got home around 3:30AM because the D didn't run and I suggested the N but nooooooooooooooo Alan was adamant on the F train to transfer to the D at West 4th. A few N's went by and no F's so we finally decided to take the N back home. Around 4AM Sunny and I got hungry and went to Chinatown's 69 to grab food lol. We talked for a while and got back a lil while ago. What a great midnight snack!
